I am blessed to be a new resident in the Vail, Arizona area as of mid June 2019. While no community is perfect, I love my new home and strive to be a force for good wherever I go. I value integrity, honesty, altruism, and a healthy sense of humor. My experience allows me to spot problems that others may miss. Before becoming a home inspector in January 2015, my background included 5 years experience as a real estate broker with a top producing Coldwell Banker office, 4 years experience as a structural pest inspector with an award-winning company, and approximately 2 years experience as a real estate appraiser trainee. I also brought into my career some experience with business managment, some construction experience, and even some volunteer reserve police work. I have found the industry of home inspection to be a particularly good fit for my personality and habits of mind. As a real estate agent, I truly enjoyed advocating for the best interest of my client - putting their needs ahead of my own. As a real estate appraiser, I valued the intellectual independence of looking at the market objectively and providing an evidence-based opinion. As a home inspector, I get both. I find it to be a fulfilling career which plays to some of my personal strengths. I get to watch out for the best interests of others (satisfying my need to show altruism) while writing clear reports that benefit my clients (expressing my value for applied wisdom) and getting a littly dirty in the process (feeding my drive for physical labor). As a Certified Master Inspector trained by InterNACHI (the International Association of Certified Home Inspectors) and a licensed Arizona Home Inspector I follow two distinct yet similar Standards of Practice (the ASHI Standards and the InterNachi Standards - whichever has the higher standards in any perticualar area) Thie ensures that you receive a detailed and accurate inspection.
